Description
Originally built in 856, local legend claims the spirit of a young boy, possibly named Jeremiah, has been seen in the halls late at night. There are also reports of heavy footsteps and a rhythmic banging sound like a bouncing ball or drum. It is believed the young boy was a Civil War officer’s son and drummer boy who accidently drowned in a nearby creek.
