Various spirits have been reportedly seen at this cemetery due to the religious practices of the Eklutna religion. Spirit Houses built on top of the graves contain items belonging to the deceased, believing the souls of the dead wander for 40 days, looking for their personal items. The houses were built to keep the souls from wandering.
